East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) has awarded ELCOM Systems Limited a contract to provide EVOLVE Inventory Management at its hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich. ESNEFT is the largest NHS Trust in the East of England and they are modernising a system to cope with the demands of modern healthcare. ESNEFT selected ELCOM following a competitive process involving numerous suppliers using the NHS Commercial Solutions Inventory Management System Framework.

Implementation of the solution will enable greater efficiencies in supply chain processes and procurement practices at ESNEFT.  Delivering greater visibility and transparency as well as better stock and data management, the solution will improve patient safety, minimise product wastage, reduce costs and improve efficiencies, creating long-term cost savings.

EVOLVE Inventory Management also helps the Trust to deliver its requirement to the Department of Health and Social Care, including eProcurement Strategy, Scan4Safety, and electronic trading adoption.
